Frequently Asked Questions About Art Classes

What will the children be learning in the art class?

The children will be using many different mediums. They will be learning the elements of art as well as directed drawing. They will learn to follow directions, and to develop artist eyes for art. In addition to that, the elementary class will learn art appreciation and look at some of the famous artist’s work, and even be inspired to make some of their own. We teach art from a Christian perspective.

What is the teacher student ratio in your class?

We aim to keep our classes small so that each child gets the attention they need. We have two assistants that help with the class, Charles and Bryton Silvey. Charles is Wendy’s husband and Bryton is her son. Both are very experienced in teaching children.

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes, to reserve your child’s spot in the class the registration/ supply fee should be paid in full. Classes fill up fast, so it is best to reserve the spot as soon as possible.

What if my child has to be absent?

Each class builds on the other, so weekly attendance is encouraged however, if a class needs to be missed we totally understand. We will make our best efforts to catch your child up, however no makeup classes are available.

What is your refund policy?

There is no refund for the registration/supply fee as items have already been purchased in anticipation for the class. If you withdraw before the first class begins then you will receive your class fee refunded. (less the registration/supply fee) Once classes begin, there is no refund for tuition.

What is the “wait list”?

If our classes are full, you can join the wait list and if a spot becomes available we will notify you! If enough are on the wait list then another class will be formed.

Can I register by check or pay pal?

Our payment platform for accepting credit cards is totally secure, however if you need to pay cash, check, or by Paypal or Venmo, please make arrangements by emailing Wendy at [email protected]

What is a media release?

A media release gives us permission to use pictures of your child on social media (without names connected to it)
